CO Advice
Ensure residents are protected from rising carbon monoxide (CO) levels in their homes with a pre-alarm alert.
The proactive ventilation instruction alert, available with FireAngel’s new FA3820-EUX10 CO alarm, encourages residents to open windows to keep protected from rising CO levels.
FireAngel’s CO alarm constantly monitor ppm levels of carbon monoxide in a room to provide a low CO level warning if a slight rise is detected. The alarm’s ventilate alert will encourage residents to open a window to reduce the risk of CO poisoning.
By ventilating a room, it prevents a build-up of dangerous CO levels however if no ventilation is detected and ppm levels continue to rise the CO alarm will activate.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous gas that cannot be seen, smelt or tasted and is produced when fuel doesn’t burn properly. The only way to detect carbon monoxide is with an audible CO alarm placed 1-3 metres away from any fuel burning appliance, such as a gas boiler, gas cooker or gas fire.
The low CO level warning can be silenced for 12 hours with no audible alarm but a yellow LED flash. The silence can then be cancelled by pressing test button again.
