ScrewFix Live is the premier trade event for professionals and DIYers that, this year, brought together over 37,500 visitors and 200 leading trade brands at the Farnborough Exhibition and Conference Centre. For FireAngel, it was an opportunity to introduce FireAngel One, meet customers and hear first-hand what matters most when protecting their homes.
Throughout the event, customers shared how FireAngel One could support their households’ individual needs. These conversations brought the benefits of Bluetooth connectivity and accessible oversight to life, with visitors discussing the reassurance they wanted when visiting family, heading out for dinner or leaving pets at home.
One attendee explained how interlinked alarms could help address concerns about a family member accidentally leaving the hob on, with compatible alarms sounding throughout the home if danger was detected. Another saw the battery-powered range as a way to provide additional reassurance when their children left for university.
FireAngel returned to the ScrewFix Live with this year’s exhibition centred around the launch of the FireAngel One range, a new connected home-safety range designed to help households protect what matters most through smarter, simpler technology. The battery-powered range includes a smart Bluetooth smoke alarm, heat alarm, smoke and heat combination alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and Bluetooth gateway.
Whether moving into a first home, raising a family or looking after older relatives, FireAngel One is designed to adapt to homeowners’ changing needs. Compatible devices can be Bluetooth interlinked, so alarms sound together when one detects a potential danger. This helps warnings reach people throughout the home, even when danger is detected in another room or on a different floor.
The range also addresses everyday frustrations associated with traditional alarms. The smoke and smoke and heat combination alarms feature UltraSense™ technology, designed to help distinguish genuine danger from everyday causes of nuisance alerts, including cooking fumes, dust and insects.
Customers that visited the stand appreciated how these features could simplify their home safety, proven by the entire stock of FireAngel One selling out by the end of the exhibition!
On the first evening of the three day event, the Charity Gala raised over £370,000 for the ScrewFix Foundation, a grant-giving charity that supports projects that improve, repair and maintain buildings and facilities for those in need. FireAngel contributed to the fundraising total and donated a day at the races to encourage donations.
As part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact, FireAngel’s stand comprised of 80-90% recycled or reused materials, bringing quality together with sustainability.
At the stand, Eric and Anna from Tuck the Fire Truck brought fire safety to life for our younger visitors, hosting activities that made learning how to stay safe at home fun and memorable for children and parents alike. FireAngel will continue to support school-aged children through this important partnership throughout the year.
