International Firefighters’ Day is observed annually on 4th May. It is a time to honour the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of firefighters around the world. The day also serves as a solemn reminder of those who have lost their lives in the line of duty, while recognising the ongoing commitment of fire and rescue professionals who continue to protect communities every day.
At FireAngel, fire safety is about more than alarms. Our mission is to create safer homes and stronger communities through innovation, education, and partnership.
For over 15 years, and with trusted technology fitted by UK Fire and Rescue Services since 2007, we have proudly supported fire and rescue services across the UK. As market leaders in home life safety, we provide advanced fire detection solutions designed to strengthen prevention and protection efforts nationwide.
Working closely with fire and rescue partners ensures that the highest safety standards are maintained, while helping to safeguard more lives through improved early detection and awareness.
FireAngel products play a vital role in Safe and Well visits, helping fire and rescue services identify risks within the home and provide residents with practical fire safety advice. These visits are essential in raising awareness of everyday hazards and improving home safety standards across communities.
We are also committed to fire safety education. Through initiatives such as our Home Fire Safety Jigsaw, we help make learning about fire prevention engaging, accessible, and suitable for all ages. By working together, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge they need to stay safe.

Our Fire and Rescue Service Account Manager, Daniel Tweddle, continues to support the sector through a wide range of activities. This includes assisting with local fundraising, attending NFCC’s national prevention and protection conferences, supporting winter warmth initiatives, and delivering standardised training for engagement visits.
He has also contributed to the development of Safe and Well resources, helping ensure clear, practical safety advice reaches residents and supports wider fire prevention strategies.
FireAngel is proud to have long supported the work of the Fire Fighters Charity. Fire Fighters Charity provides vital physical, emotional, and financial support to serving and retired firefighters, as well as their families. Whether dealing with injury, illness, stress, or life transitions, the charity ensures help is always available when it is needed most.
On International Firefighters’ Day, we want to say a big thank you to firefighters everywhere. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire our work, as we focus on innovation, partnership, and helping to make communities across the UK safer for everyone.
