The FA6812-EUX10 uses 2 x AA alkaline batteries, which are included. Battery life exceeds 3 years under normal conditions. When the battery runs low, a chirp sounds every 40 seconds and the amber LED flashes. Replace with any standard AA alkaline battery from brands such as Duracell, Energizer, or similar.
