The FA6611-R uses 2 x AA alkaline batteries, which are included. Battery life is up to 3 years under normal conditions. When the battery runs low, a chirp sounds every 40 seconds. Replace with any standard AA alkaline battery. Sleep Easy mode can silence low-battery chirps for 8 hours overnight.
