Hosted at the Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, the event began with an in-depth presentation from RoFC’s Christopher Carvell MIET MIFSM PCQI, who gave valuable insight into the latest compliance requirements and commercial opportunities shaping the fire safety and engineering sectors. With regulation and best practice continuing to evolve across the built environment, the session provided attendees with timely guidance on emerging challenges.
Professionals then took to Rockliffe Hall’s challenging 18-hole course, battling gusty conditions and participating in a range of competitions, from individual and team prizes to the longest drive, closest to the pin and the crowd-favourite “Beat the Pro” challenge. The relaxed environment offered an ideal setting for industry peers to connect, share experience and build new relationships that will support future collaboration.
Attendees raised £390 for Fire Fighters Charity, providing lifelong care and support to serving and retired fire service personnel and their families. FireAngel matched the total, taking the donation to £780, which was presented to Alex Byers, Regional Fundraiser (North).
Alex expressed gratitude for the industry’s support, stating:
“Every pound raised on the day will make such a difference to our fire services community, ensuring we can continue offering our life-changing care and support for fire service personnel and their families.”
FireAngel’s continued partnership with Fire Fighters Charity – one of the company’s chosen charities – reflects its long-standing dedication to supporting the wellbeing of those on the front line. Through year-round fundraising and awareness initiatives, FireAngel remains firmly committed to giving back to the Fire & Rescue Service community, whose work is closely aligned with FireAngel’s mission to support early detection and prevention across millions of UK homes.
The event’s success was made possible through the collective support of its sponsors – FireAngel Safety Technology, Honeywell Gent, Porsche Teesside, and Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort – as well as the attendees and organisers who contributed to a day centred around community, collaboration and charitable giving.
By uniting leading organisations and practitioners, the RoFC Invitational served as a reminder of the strength and commitment within the UK’s fire safety community – and FireAngel is proud to play its part.
