Developed by Hill Construction, the project features 106 apartments, including 10 luxury penthouses, private terraces, a landscaped podium garden, and a level-three open-air terrace – showcasing a commitment to high-quality design and sustainability.
With a development of this scale and specification, ensuring robust fire protection for residents was critical. The system also needed to integrate seamlessly with premium interiors while meeting the latest fire detection standards.
To achieve this, I-MEX selected a network of FireAngel’s SM-SN-1 multi-sensor smoke alarms and HM-SN-1 heat alarms, complemented by wired relay units and external balcony-mounted sounders. The multi-sensor smoke alarms combine optical and thermal detection, responding quickly to both slow-smouldering and fast-flaming fires. The heat alarms use Thermistek technology to detect rapid temperature rises in kitchen areas while reducing nuisance alarms. Both feature sealed ten-year lithium battery back-up, ensuring continuous operation even during mains power interruptions.
All alarms were hardwired together, allowing every device within an apartment to operate as a single network. This ensures simultaneous warnings and activates balcony sounders for full audibility. An optional gateway can enable remote status monitoring via the cloud, without affecting local alarm operation if the internet connection is lost – offering future-proofed connectivity.
