FA6812-EUX10

FA6812-EUX10 Digital Display Carbon Monoxide Alarm

CO Battery included Light Indicator 3 Year Warranty

Portable CO alarm with LCD screen and 10-year sensor life

The FA6812-EUX10 is a digital carbon monoxide alarm with an LCD display that shows CO levels in real time.

An advanced electrochemical sensor continuously monitors carbon monoxide and displays readings in parts per million on the built-in LCD screen. When dangerous CO levels are detected, a loud 85dB alarm sounds with a flashing red LED.

The compact, lightweight design at just 146g means the FA6812-EUX10 works as a portable CO alarm for caravans, campervans, motorhomes and holiday travel as well as a permanent fixture in your home. Wall-mount it with the included bracket or stand it on any flat surface.

A 30-day memory logs previous alarm activations so you can check whether CO was detected while you were away. Sleep Easy mode silences low-battery beeps overnight.

Where to install your carbon monoxide alarm

Install a carbon monoxide alarm in every room that contains a fuel-burning appliance such as a boiler, gas fire, gas cooker, or wood-burning stove. The FA6812-EUX10 can be wall-mounted at least 150mm below the ceiling and between 1m and 3m horizontally from the CO source, or placed free-standing on a shelf.

For caravans, campervans and motorhomes, place the alarm near any gas appliance or heating system. The portable design means you can move it between rooms or take it with you when you travel. In bedrooms, position it at head height for maximum protection overnight.

Do not install directly above a cooker or inside an enclosed cupboard. Avoid locations where temperatures regularly exceed 40°C or drop below -10°C, or where humidity is above 95%.

See our complete alarm installation guide for full positioning advice.

Install a CO alarm in every room with a fuel-burning appliance such as a boiler, gas fire, or wood-burning stove. Position it on the ceiling or high on a wall, between 1m and 3m from the CO source. For full coverage, fit one in every bedroom and living area too. See our guide on how many carbon monoxide alarms you need for room-by-room advice.

Press and hold the test button on the FA6812-EUX10. The alarm will sound, the red LED will flash, and the LCD display will show a test reading, confirming the unit is working. Test at least once a month. See our full guide to testing your CO alarm for more detail.

If the alarm sounds, open all windows and doors immediately. Turn off any fuel-burning appliances if safe to do so. Move everyone, including pets, outside into fresh air and call the Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. The LCD display will show the CO level in ppm so you can report the reading to the engineer. See our step-by-step guide to what to do if your CO alarm goes off.

Yes. The FA6812-EUX10 is EN 50291-2:2019 certified specifically for use in caravans, campervans, motorhomes and leisure accommodation vehicles. At just 146g it is lightweight and portable, and can be placed free-standing on any flat surface. See our guide to caravan fire and CO safety for full advice.

The LCD screen shows the current carbon monoxide concentration in parts per million (ppm). Under normal conditions it displays zero. If CO is detected, the number rises to show the exact level. The alarm triggers at thresholds set by EN 50291: 50ppm within 60 to 90 minutes, 100ppm within 10 to 40 minutes, and 300ppm or more within 3 minutes.

A single chirp every 40 seconds with an amber LED flash means the battery is low and needs replacing. A repeated alarm pattern with a red LED means CO has been detected. An EOL (end-of-life) alert means the 10-year sensor has expired and the unit needs replacing. Sleep Easy mode can silence low-battery chirps for 8 hours overnight. See our CO alarm beeping guide to identify the specific pattern.

If the FA6812-EUX10 detects carbon monoxide while you are away, the memory function stores the event. When you return, the red LED will flash twice every 40 seconds for up to 7 days to alert you that CO was present. Press the test button to clear the memory indicator. See our guide to CO alarm memory for more information.

The FA6812-EUX10 uses 2 x AA alkaline batteries, which are included. Battery life exceeds 3 years under normal conditions. When the battery runs low, a chirp sounds every 40 seconds and the amber LED flashes. Replace with any standard AA alkaline battery from brands such as Duracell, Energizer, or similar.
