Product description

The FireAngel SCB10‑R Smoke Alarm has been designed to make protecting your home simple, with easy install and testing and rigorous testing by independent parties, such as BSI Kitemark, to ensure quality and longevity.

The unit has both smoke and carbon monoxide sensors for detection of both dangers. It has clear indicators and alerts to allow you to see which is present when the alarm sounds. Install alongside further units and a kitchen heat alarm for complete protection.

The FireAngel SCB10 Smoke & CO Alarm has been designed to make protecting your home simple, with easy install and rigorous testing by independent parties to ensure quality and longevity.

With both carbon monoxide and smoke detection in one unit, you’re protected by two dangers by a single unit. You’ll also be alerted to each danger with a unique audible and visual alert.

As well as allowing easy testing with a sweeping brush from the floor below, this large button also activates our Sleep Easy function which silences low battery chirps for 8 hours ‑ giving you a peaceful night’s sleep.

What is the difference between a smoke alarm and heat alarm?

A smoke alarm detects smoke particles using an optical or ionisation sensor, while a heat alarm detects temperature changes using a thermistor. Smoke alarms are designed for bedrooms, hallways and living rooms. Heat alarms are designed for kitchens, garages and utility rooms where smoke alarms would trigger false alarms from cooking or fumes. Most homes need both types for full coverage. Where should I install a smoke alarm?

According to latest BS 5839‑6 standards, for maximum LD1 protection you should fit a smoke alarm in the following rooms: Hallway, Landing, Living Room, Bedroom, Airing / Meter Cupboards, Loft, Garage. A smoke alarm is not recommended for installation in a kitchen, you should install a heat alarm in kitchens.

Why does the green light not show when the power is on?

Make sure the alarm is correctly located on the base plate and ensure the mains power supply is on. If there is still no connection, inspect the circuit breaker or fuse in the power circuit to the alarm. Failing this, call a qualiﬁed electrician to inspect the house wiring and connection.

Can FireAngel alarms be wirelessly connected with different devices?
