The Wireless Controller is designed for professional installations where accessible alarm testing is required in line with BS 5839-6 and Document M of the Building Regulations 2010. Its compact design supports both freestanding and wall-mounted installation, enabling quick deployment in new build and retrofit applications while providing a convenient, accessible location for testing interconnected smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms.

Approved for use in Scotland under the Scottish Tolerable Standard, the controller supports compliance with key domestic fire safety requirements and accessibility standards.

Suitable for installation in properties featuring the Spec+ range, supporting flexible placement throughout the property. Interconnection capability allows up to 50 devices to be linked for whole-building coverage, making it well suited to HMOs, social housing, and multi-occupancy buildings requiring a coordinated alarm response.

With a 10-year lifespan and compliance with current safety standards, it provides a reliable, long-term solution for professional installations across multiple property portfolios.

Yes. The Spec+ range is compatible with a range of dedicated accessories, including the SP565 Hardwired Controller and the SP560 Wireless Controller, allowing you to expand and enhance your alarm system to suit your installation requirements.

What happens if the FireAngel Angel Pro app isn’t working?

The FireAngel Angel Pro app is designed to support installation, setup and diagnostics, but it is not required for the alarms to operate. The SP500 / SP510 / SP520 / SP530 / SP540 can all be installed and configured manually, ensuring protection is not dependent on the app. These are alarm-first products, with the app simply providing additional convenience, visibility and support for installers and customers.

Does the Spec+ Controller require an internet connection to work?

No. The SP565 Hardwired Controller and SP560 Wireless Controller do not require an internet connection to operate.

Where should I fit a Spec+ Wireless Controller?

The Wireless Controller can be placed anywhere within range of your interlinked Spec+ system. It can be wall mounted or used freestanding, and because it is battery powered it can be carried around the property to test, silence and locate alarms from a convenient, accessible location. Fit it where it will not be knocked or operated accidentally.
